dc.description.abstract | [EN] The increase in electricity consumption worldwide has meant an increase in the power transmitted through power lines. In addition, environmental and technical criteria, sometimes, such transmission is done via underground or submarine cable, rather than airlines. Both factors combine to limit or disable the transfer of such increasing powers by alternating current(AC). For years now, the links of high voltage direct current have been proposed as an alternative to resolve or mitigate some of these problems. | es_ES |
