dc.description.abstract [EN] Airbus Operations is currently creating a global Operating System based on Lean Management Methodologies, which is applied cross-functionally on Leadership, Environment, Processes and Products. For the Specific Design of the product, Lean not only can be applied within its processes, but as well on how the product is designed. The objective of this Thesis is to research what Lean means for the Product Development (or Lean Product Development, LPD); analyse its framework, study its latest deployment and make comparison with the Aerospace industry. The conclusion should bring a statement towards whether or not LPD is applicable for Airbus. es_ES
