dc.description.abstract | [EN] This project foundation is the study, application and viability of wind turbines as a suitable alternative source of generating energy in the form of electricity. First of all, there is an introduction to the world of wind energy, after this more subjects related to wind energy will be explored: its origins, measure study, etc. and at end of this section, the main issue of this work will be treated in depth, the wind turbines, detailing all its components, its functioning and all the aspects related to these machines. An exhaustive study on a real problem will be carried out, the study of the relationship between the enormous amount of wind farms installed in the North Sea and the strong flooding in countries like Poland, Czech Republic and Germany, calculating. Furthermore, it will be checked the increase in air temperature when the air goes through the wind turbines. Once the basic information has been exposed, the criteria for choosing the location of the wind farm will be discussed, validating the decision by dealing in an educated manner with meteorological data from the site. With the election of the site made, an energy/economic study will be carried out, in order to choose the most suitable wind turbine for the existing conditions, from a few different options. After choosing the location and the most appropriate wind turbine, we will proceed to study the individual machine, from a mechanical/structural point of view, detailing the most important the loads affecting it, in different stages of function, considered outcomes. The most critical stage will be selected and after this, the total loads on foundations will be calculated. The next step will be the resistance verification of the technical parameters of the wind turbine selected given from the manufacturer. | es_ES |
