dc.description.abstract [EN] The CAN communications protocol is a serial bus widely used in industry, in particular in the automotive sector, due to its simplicity, reliability and lowcost. The aim of the project is to design a teaching aid which shows how the CAN bus operates in a typical automotive environment. The project consists of building a demonstration board and the appropriate software needed in both microcontroller and computer client to simulate a CAN communication scheme. The final system is to be used in the embedded systems laboratory as a teaching example for students at Sheffield Hallam University. es_ES
