dc.description.abstract | [EN] The main solution for higher amplitudes of vibrations is the use of damper devices. They could have different working principles but are always based on energy dissipation. One of them is the hysteretic damper which uses the intrinsic damping of the material from its cycle of hysteresis. Due to their simplicity, compact size and versatility, they are widely used in many applications. The main scope of this project is to design a removable damper for a particular manufacturing process. The first step in the design process was to determine the resonance frequency of the vibration. Noise data was acquired and then the signal received some treatment and also the Fast Fourier Transform was applied in order to get the frequency response. Next, the removable characteristic of the damper was achieved by magnetic attachments. The magnets were designed by using the Gilbert model of attraction force. Finally, analytical and FEA model were developed in order to get an estimation of the equivalent stiffness for a given mass and geometry. In parallel, a prototype was built and tested in order to validate the proposed models. The document ends with guidelines for the future development of the project. | es_ES |
