Content Management System for sport clubs

Abstract

In recent years the Internet universe has expanded into daily life. Social networks, mobile devices and web services are now indispensable. In this context, more and more groups and institutions want their way to introduce into the digital age, giving their members a service to meet their needs quickly, easily and inexpensively. At present, the sport is a precious commodity in our society, however sport clubs cannot find on the Internet a tool to satisfy user's demands, who are more and more integrated in the technologies that we have mentioned. In the best cases the solutions are expensive, difficult to manage by end-users and often not with all the desired functionality. This project is aimed at mending this problem, providing a tool for publishing content on the web with different privilege levels; this means that the users will see more or less information depending on the permissions that they have. It should be appreciated that this application is not the same as a general CMS. This is a specific application related to sports clubs without other features; therefore, ease of use is greater. In addition, emphasis is on achieving a hierarchy of users such as sports clubs, coaches, different categories and teams, board of directors¿ and other objects such as timetables, competitions, training sessions. The technical part of the project was a great challenge. I would have to develop the project with three-tier architecture, using the latest technology to create a quick and robust application.
