Reconstrucción arquitectónica ideal de la terraza sur de la Acrópolis de La Blanca (Guatemala)

Abstract

Tras la temporada de campo de 2007 del Proyecto la Blanca, los datos obtenidos por la excavación de las últimas estancias del edificio 6J2 y del edificio 6J3 de la Acrópolis han permitido hacer un análisis arquitectónico de sus características tipológicas y formales y realizar la primera reconstrucción ideal de ambas edificaciones, con el fin de entender así la composición de la Terraza Sur de la Acrópolis y las diferentes transformaciones que ha sufrido esta zona de la ciudad de La Blanca. Al mismo tiempo se ha podido realizar un estudio comparativo con otras construcciones y espacios urbanos de parecidas características del área maya, pudiendo comprobar la calidad compositiva y arquitectónica de estos edificios.

After the field studies of the project ¿La Blanca¿ in 2007, the data obtained from the last excavations of building 6J2 and building 6J3 of the Acropolis have enabled the architectural analysis with its typical and formal characteristics, to be made. The first ideal reconstruction of the two buildings has also been allowed to be carried out with the purpose of understanding the composition of the Southern Terrace of the Acropolis and the various transformations that this part of the city of La Blanca has undergone. At the same time it has been possible to carry out a comparative study with other urban constructions and spaces that have similar characteristics to the Mayan area. This has helped to confirm the compositional and architectural quality of these buildings.
