dc.description.abstract | [EN] All the processes that take place in a nuclear power plant are required to be monitored and controlled. This project offers a simulation of a virtual instrumentation panel of a nuclear power plant, developed using LabVIEW software, from which the user will have a global vision of the most representative variables that are involved in the main processes carried out in the plant and will have the possibility of interact with the system analyzing the behavior and the consequences of changes in the performance. Two simulated control panels related to the main parts of the plant, reactor, turbine, condenser and generator, have been developed following as reference Cofrentes Nuclear Power Plant, based on a boiling water reactor (BWR) in order a make an approach to a real situation. In addition, a main control panel has been created as an introductory panel through which the user will have access to the control panels related to the generator and the turbine. A dynamic graphical interface, easy to use, is provided to the user which consist on a number of controls from which the user could manipulate the variables, and indicators which will show the status of the process and will generate alarm signals in case of a fault. | es_ES |
