dc.description.abstract | [EN] This thesis describes the results obtained during a project to investigate a wind tunnel. It was necessary to find how works other winds tunnels for, finally, being able to say if the characteristics of the wind tunnel studied are correct for this kind of thesis. Also, this thesis could be the beginning of next studies which can need some devices used here, like traverse system, hotwire probes and so on. In the appendixes it is possible to find some explications and calculations, which can be used as a data base. A flat plate airfoil was investigated for a student in the Notre Dame University, Indiana, and it was choose like a way to do the comparison explained before. Because of that, an airfoil, which the same characteristics, was made and it has been tried to follow its steps. In the results can be seen at the frequency of 220Hz how a peak of 50dB appears, which is caused for the addition of the airfoil, the same thing happened in the Notre Dame thesis. For this reason, the final conclusion could be that the wind tunnel works correctly. The length in time to carry out this work wasn¿t long enough to give a solution to the unexpected problem that happened and therefore complete the initial aim of the thesis. | es_ES |
