Queens park temporal transformation. Soundscapes

[EN] The objective of this project is to change the Queens Park soundscape in order to change people perception to make it more comfortable and peaceful. We started with the belief that the park is very nice and perfect to stay long periods of time with friends or family just chatting or relaxing. It is a big green open space, with tables and benches. There are lot of trees where you can seat or lay underneath it to read or whatever. The grass is always in a good state and the park, generally is very clean. Despite of all this features people don¿t use the park for the main purpose, chatting and relaxing during long periods of time, they only use it for quick lunches and specially for walking dogs and commuting. We thought that the only thing that might be the problem is the noise. People don¿t use the park because is too noisy so the park doesn¿t achieve the main objective for this kind of parks; it is not a place for relaxing and chatting due to only the noise because the other characteristics are good. As can be seen in the next chapters, the current situation is very noisy due to traffic noise so it makes that people stay in the park only few minutes.
