Human factors affecting errors in Medicine

[EN] The following paper discusses medical errors and how humans contribute to these errors through an extensive literature review. The paper includes the definition of medical errors, the classification, and the factors that affect these errors, as well as the causes. There is an in depth review of two of the most common errors which are medication errors and surgical errors, and there is also an overview about handoffs. Studies and examples are included in the paper to better understand medical errors.
