dc.description.abstract | [EN] Low temperature geothermal applied to HVAC systems is experiencing an increase in its usage rate because of the energy savings that can be obtained from its use, the environmental friendliness and high efficiency rates. This report deals with an extensive analysis of the parameters that conditions a ground-coupled heat pump installation, to eventually determine an approximate method that can be implemented in any computer of the world with no need of specific software. This method developed will be compared to the results obtained by means of specific software, to check the validity of the approximation made in the test cases suggested in this report. The visual basic macro developed will eventually be used to analyze the variation of the heat response of the soil and see how do different arrangements of the boreholes in a borehole field affect the thermal resistance and thus the length required of boreholes. In the end, a brief energy savings analysis and emissions reduction study is also offered, to compare the performance of this source of HVAC to others much more widely spread. | es_ES |
