[EN] The research, which is presented, was developed during my stay at the Cracow
University of Technology, where I was from September 2007 until May 2008. To tell the
truth, maybe people can think is not fair to call this project research, not even project,
but just a homework. May be is not a very detailed study, but I think I have already
made merits to deserve my graduation during my academic years in Polytechnic
University of Valencia. It was a pleasure to live and enjoy all the unforgettable time which
took me to giving life to this project in Poland, for sure one of the most important periods
in my life. Thesis is structurated and divided as follows:
Chapter 1, Theoretical approach, deals with the basis which allows to calculate
Ultimate Limit States, Serviceability Limit States and Structural Fire Design, given in two
different codes, the Eurocode (from now on so called ¿EC2¿) and the Spanish Code of
structural concrete (from now on so called ¿EHE¿). Many differences between EC2 and
EHE will be shown in chapter 1.
In Chapter 2, Practical approach, knowledge written down in first chapter
about EC2 will be used to calculate different structural parts from a building, such as a
slab, two beams and a column. Chapter 2 will deals only with calculations about Ultimate
limit States, Serviceability States and Structural Fire design, which means that no
calculations about different loads in the structure or stresses will be done. All this data
will be taken from another research which will become our initial data, and will be the
basis for our research. All these date will be added within the Annex¿s part. Also,
necessary drawings for practical approach will be added at the end of the research within
the Plans part. It is advisable to read, or at least scan this data before reading chapter 2.
In the last part, as in every research, a list with all books¿ names used to
carry out the research is shown.
