La biomecánica contribuye al análisis objetivo de las lumbalgias

Abstract

[EN] The installation of the first functional assessment laboratory, in Sant Cugat in 2003, was the beginning of a research line between the IBV and ASEPEYO MATEPSS 151.

This union crystallizes in the conduction of regular research studies with the aim to expand knowledge in biomechanics applied to the health sector, strengthen and improve existing functional assessment methodologies.

The NedLumb_Valic project is an example of this collaboration. With its development it is intended to increase the existing knowledge about malingering of lumbar pathology and usefulness of the information at disposal of the clinician, to improve its identification and management.

[ES] Desde la instalación del primer laboratorio de valoración funcional en Sant Cugat en el año 2003, se inició una línea de colaboración continua entre el Instituto de Biomecánica (IBV) y ASEPEYO M.A.T.E.P.S.S. 151. Esta unión cristaliza en la realización de trabajos de investigación a través de los cuales se persigue ampliar el conocimiento en biomecánica aplicado al ámbito sanitario y potenciar y mejorar las metodologías de valoración funcional existentes. El proyecto NedLumb_Valic es un ejemplo de este trabajo conjunto. Con su desarrollo se persigue aumentar el conocimiento existente sobre la magnificación de la patología lumbar y la utilidad de la información que el clínico tiene a su alcance para mejorar su identificación y gestión.
