[EN] master thesis will investigate the relationships between the physical distribution in a warehouse, the material handling equipment, and the labor inside a warehouse though the point of view of lean thinking. That’s it’s a contradiction due to the warehouses doesn’t add any extra value to the final product themselves but only to costumers by giving it in the time that costumer wants it, in the right amount and in the right quality. However, it is necessary to put some non-value processes for maintaining the ability of serve the costumers giving extra value. The goal applying lean thinking is to avoid the non-value added process that doesn’t add any value to the overall process. It is necessary to understand first what is the lean thinking and some tools that can be useful to use within warehouses.
