La importancia del montaje en la recepción de un film: análisis comparativo entre Oldboy y su remake

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo el análisis de cómo se articula el montaje en dos secuencias: la primera perteneciente a la película Oldboy, dirigida en 2003 por Chan-wook Park y la segunda su remake dirigido por Spike Lee diez años después. Aunque en ambas su objetivo narrativo es el mismo, la presentación del protagonista y su entorno, la forma de hacerlo es totalmente diferente. De ahí que el interés de esta investigación se centre en el análisis de las semejanzas y diferencias que ambos montajes presentan, con el objeto de aprender diferentes formas de articular el discurso fílmico partiendo de una misma intención narrativa. El trabajo se divide en dos partes: una primera en la que se propone una aproximación teórica al remake, así como se establecen las variables que serán objeto de análisis, y, una segunda parte, en la que se lleva a cabo la aplicación práctica de estas variables en el análisis de las dos secuencias seleccionadas

This research aims to analyze how the editing is in two sequences: the first from the film Oldboy, directed in 2003 by Park Chan-wook and the second his remake directed by Spike Lee ten years later. Although in both their narrative purpose is the same, the presentation of the protagonist and his environment, the way is totally different. Hence that the interest of this research focuses on the analysis of the similarities and differences that both editing presented, in order to learn different ways of articulating the filmic discourse basis of the same narrative intention. The work is divided into two parts: the first in which a theoretical approach is proposed to remake, as well as the variables that will be analyzed are set, and a second part, which is carried out the practical application of these variables in the analysis of the two selected sequences.
