Online search service for information technologies laboratory devices oriented to professors, students and researchers

Abstract

Nowadays an information technologies laboratory provide several services to students, professors and researchers in reference to devices or gadget that such laboratories have. However these laboratories lack of a modern and centralized system to organize all available services regarding to these devices, which would make them more useful for all their users. This project work studies how to resolve the necessities of a modern laboratory, providing a good enough solution for those using the mentioned laboratory for their purposes. This document will describe what users expect from an Information Technologies laboratory and, through requirement gathering, how they would like to improve the services that these type of laboratories offer to them. However the project work document is focused in services for devices or gadget that are offered in such laboratories. Thus what kind of service have laboratories with their devices? What would be an appropriate solution considering users opinion regarding these laboratory devices? Which technologies would be a good idea to choose considering student time and resources of the university? These kind of questions will be studied along this document.
