dc.description.abstract | [EN] The main focus of this thesis is GLARE, Glass Laminate Aluminum Reinforced Epoxy, a well known FML which is used in the construction of Airbus A380 fuselage and composed of thin layers of aluminum and S2-Fiber-Glass embedded in epoxy matrix. The objective of this thesis is the mechanical description of this FML and the description of a approach that describes its behaviour accurately. Therefore the structure of this thesis is de ned as follows. In chapter 2 a literature review of the required knowledge is explained. The theories of plates and the Ramberg Osgood formula are described in order to facilitate the comprehension of the procedure and development of the thesis. In chapter 3 an explanation of GLARE is carried out. First by getting a deeper knowledge in both single materials, aluminium and glass bre, and then describing the expected properties of the hybrid material. In chapter 4 the mechanical behaviour of GLARE is described. Its characteristic properties are found and a describing model is purposed and tested. In chapter 5 a FEM model is purposed and tested by using Abaqus software. In chapter 6 a summary and a series of conclusions are provided after the whole work on this material. | es_ES |
