dc.description.abstract This study examines how mental involvement can generate or intensify savoring in a human- product interaction, in a context where there is an element of distraction. Using the Positive and Negative Affect Scales (Watson, 1999), the Self- Assessment Manikin (Bradley et al., 1994), mind wandering assessment (Killingsworth, 2010), and Ways of Savoring Checklist (Bryant and Veroff, 2007) with 75 students showed an effect of the different instructions to focus on savoring. These results are not significant, however they show that being mentally involved in the product interaction increases the savoring and enjoyment of the interaction. These findings show that individuals need to be fully mentally involved in what they are doing in order to savor the interaction. es_ES
