Problemática del escaneo 3D aplicado a un objeto patrimonial industrial: escaner láser 3D y edición 3D

This exercise posed by the use of a 3D laser scanner, drawing growth of new technologies and their application to field Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Property in the logical framework equity. In seeking to reduce or minimize the maximum intervention on the work or object, following what it claimed premised on Cesare Brandi Conservation Theory1 , and the position has been maintained since the first Atenas Letter2 to the latest, in which restorative consulted and kept in the practice of their work, this exercise is formulated of Bachelor Thesis. Normally, in the field of conservation and restoration focused heritage, there are not too many manufactured materials and tools with the intention of serving in this area. Thus, according to innovative tools created for the field of medicine, architecture or industrial design, the pursuit of sustainability in this sector is intended. On this premise, an object is scanned as a reference later will be done using vector programs that create different ways to move them or print them using a 3D printer. It is intended to stimulate interest in this exciting device. Thus, is to describe and locate the phonograph to historical and functional level and studied from the point of view of the restorer, the limitations that exist at present to document this type of heritage objects, giving utmost importance to the problems with which we are at attempt to obtain optimal results with a laser scanner.

El presente ejercicio plantea el uso de un escáner 3D láser, aprovechando el crecimiento de las nuevas tecnologías, y su posible aplicación al ámbito de la Conservación y Restauración de Bienes Culturales, en el marco lógico patrimonial. Con la búsqueda de reducir o disminuir al máximo una intervención sobre la obra u objeto, siguiendo como premisa lo que afirmaba Cesare Brandi en Teoría de la Conservación1, y la postura que se ha mantenido desde la primera Carta de Atenas2 hasta la más actualizada, en las cuales los restauradores consultan y mantienen en la práctica de sus trabajos, se formula este ejercicio de Trabajo Fin de Grado. Normalmente, en el sector de la conservación y restauración enfocado al patrimonio, no existen demasiados materiales y herramientas fabricados con la intención de servir en este ámbito. De este modo, aprovechando las novedosas herramientas creadas para el sector de la medicina, arquitectura o diseño industrial, se pretende la búsqueda de la viabilidad en este sector. Partiendo de esta premisa, se escaneará un objeto como referente, posteriormente se hará uso de programas vectoriales que creen las diferentes formas para trasladarlas o imprimirlas mediante una impresora 3D. Se pretende despertar el interés por este apasionante aparato. Por ello, se va a describir y situar el fonógrafo a nivel histórico y funcional, así como estudiar desde el punto de vista del restaurador, las limitaciones que existen en la actualidad para documentar este tipo de objetos patrimoniales, dándole máxima importancia a la problemática con la que nos encontramos al intentar obtener óptimos resultados con un escáner láser.
