Researching powerful and powerless styles: Professional mock interviews in an English course

Abstract

The study we present forms part of an ongoing study on the introduction of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in tertiary education. Our research aims at promoting the adequate use of workplace language by analysing the ability of non-native speakers of English to differentiate speech styles.
