dc.description.abstract | Extensive research has been done on the aerodynamics of supersonic aircraft, especially in the military and commercial airplanes’ field. Regarding supersonic business jets (SSBJs), two major problems have been addressed in past investigations: reducing the sonic boom and decreasing the NOx emissions. This report focuses on a different aspect, the controls and stability of this type of aircraft. This field has not been addressed thoroughly by the different companies and universities investigating SSBJs, as most of the existing concepts are preliminary designs that have not been developed extensively. With this report I try to put my two cents in analyzing the longitudinal stability and control surfaces of three different SSBJs designs. | es_ES |
