dc.description.abstract | The mass consumption of hydrocarbons is already leading to atmospheric alterations globally. The level of carbon dioxide that is currently detected is significantly greater than in 1950. This leads the known greenhouse effect, which is already causing on average an increase in global temperatures. Fossil fuels are also cause of the acid rain, which causing extensive damage in forest near the highly industrialized areas and, therefore, to the flora and fauna. In the big cities, the combination of combustion gas emissions with some other natural phenomena such as thermal inversions, humidity and solar radiation leads to some undesirable effects on human health such as smog, high concentrations of ozone, and in general, the concentration of undesirable components in the atmosphere. So much for economic reasons (next shortage of hydrocarbons), infrastructure (lack of supplies national networks) and ecological (alteration of the atmosphere and the ground), it is imperative to develop new energy alternatives that are less aggressive to the environment and that are closer to the community. | es_ES |
