dc.description.abstract | [EN] In this age of technology and information, where changes in market demand are given daily, a reliable supply chain is of great importance. Nowadays supply chain management is one of the aspects than companies try to improve with a big effort, because SCM control a wide quantity of important departments. SCM has increased their complexity within the business. As has been said before inside of a supply chain management there are significant areas. One of them is the stock management, which focuses on the availability of materials for production and tries to avoid shortage that can produce adverse economic consequences. For this reason, the companies aim to have an accurate and reliable stock. Different approaches have been considered to improve the calculation of the safety stock. Hence, carrying out a research work about a new stock calculation method could be beneficial to avoid stockouts or other supply problems that can cause great losses to the industry. | es_ES |
