dc.description.abstract [EN] In our society, energy has become a basic feature for everyday life. We have developed a strong dependency to energy resources that allows us to enjoy a standard of living and comfort. However, the energy model upon which we have based our economic development cannot be maintained in time and space. The use of renewable energy can be an option to change this model. The present technical project includes energy self-sufficiency in a single family house. To supply the required energy there have been used three technologies:  Photovoltaic system to supply electricity.  Solar thermal system to heat the domestic water.  Heat pump for heating and cooling. The aim of this project is to describe the systems and choose the most suitable option among the possibilities available in the market. es_ES
