dc.description.abstract | This Final Project aims to realize a study on the internal combustion engines with hydrogen and its introduction on the viability of market. We must not confuse the internal combustion engine with hydrogen with fuel cell hydrogen. In combustion, the hydrogen is "burned" in the same way as in traditional internal combustion engines of gasoline, while in fuel cells, hydrogen is converted into electricity and then it is used to power electric motors, which will be the ones will provide motion to the vehicle. As has been said, this time we will focus on engines hydrogen internal combustion. For this, the project has been divided into seven chapters. After a brief introduction that is capturing the current situation we live in what is refers to oil reserves and production of energy; it considered necessary to conduct a study on properties of hydrogen, and the methods of collection, storage and transport thereof. So, once we know the specifics of hydrogen, we study the hydrogen engines, which explain the presenting differences when we compare it with traditional combustion engine, and the different designs and its main and most advanced existing applications until today. Finally, the last chapter explains the application that could have hydrogen engines such as for example in the shipbuilding sector. On completion of the project and analyzing the advantages and disadvantages, it will be able draw some conclusions and will be able study the viability of economic market. | es_ES |
