Resumen
[EN] The speed kidney is a new traffic-calming device that consists of a raised and curved area placed at the center of any lane. Drivers can choose to adopt a curved path, moderating speeds but avoiding disadvantages of speed humps such as emergency response delay, vehicle damage, and vertical discomfort Moreover, it maintains uniform speeds and produces less negative environmental impacts than speed humps with a similar cost.
