SI TODO FUERA PERFECTO, REFLEXIÓN A TRAVÉS DEL ARTE Y EL RECICLAJE SOBRE LA CONTAMINACIÓN EN EL MEDITERRÁNEO

Abstract

[EN] This final degree project is both practical and theoretical. It consists of an installation of a single large piece of work built with recycled materials, which has allowed me to reflect on the following relationship: Art and recycling, consumer society, environmental pollution and specifically, pollution of the Mediterranean Sea. The work is a mural of recycled materials of large proportions with a lot of colour from a material called “complex” which, as its name suggests, consists of no less than three layers of highly polluting materials: aluminium, polypropylene, plus more aluminium making the three layers, and others of tin and lead. It is well known this makes up much the landfill waste that is now forming part of the seabed. This material is in the capsules of wine bottles, located in the neck of the bottle, and can collected for its colour and malleability. At first I started collecting the materials which I found, but it gradually became a collaborative project in which people around me started providing me with this material right up to now. So it has been a work assembled over time through a slow and careful process, given the fragility of the material used. The main objective of this work is aimed at involving all the people around me in the collection of materials (recycling), to subtly raise awareness of and rediscover common materials.

[ES] Este trabajo de fin de grado que se presenta es de carácter practico y teórico, consta de una instalación de una única obra de grandes dimensiones construida con materiales de reciclaje que ha permitido reflexionar acerca de la relación : Arte y reciclaje, sociedad de consumo, la contaminación ambiental y específicamente la contaminación en el mar Mediterráneo. La obra es un gran mural de materiales reciclados de grandes proporciones con mucho colorido de un material llamado “Complejo”, que como su nombre indica, esta formado por, no menos de tres capas de materiales muy contaminantes: Aluminio, polipropileno, mas aluminio son tres capas, mas otras de estaño y plomo. Todos conocemos el vertedero de desechos en que se han convertido los fondos marinos. Este material se encuentra en las cápsulas de botellas de vino que se localizan en el cuello de la botella y que podemos coleccionar por su gran colorido y maleabilidad. En un principio comencé coleccionando aquellos materiales encontrados, pero poco a poco ha sido un proyecto colaborativo en el que todas las personas de mi entorno me han ido proporcionando este material hasta hoy, por lo que ha sido una obra ensamblada en el tiempo por medio de un proceso lento y cuidado dada la fragilidad del material utilizado. El objetivo principal de esta obra que se presenta ha tenido como fin implicar a la recogida del material a toda la gente de mi alrededor (reciclar ) de forma sutil y concienciar y redescubrir los materiales de uso común.
