dc.description.abstract | Saturn5 is a convertible toy that allows children to play in different ways. It consists of three main components plus twelve small accessories. When all the pieces are together, it can be used as a stability toy, so they child can try to “stand on Saturn”. Secondly, the disc can be taken out so kids can play with the whole ball in a ball game. Then, the main body can be opened in two so it performs in a different way. Now, children can use each half of the sphere as a helmet, and customize it as a disguise for playing roles. As the planar surfaces of the sphere and the bottom of the accessories are magnetized (neodymium magnets), children can play attaching them to create their own Alien character. The disc would have an ergonomic hole so the whole product can be taken with you with your purchase, so it can work as its own packaging. The product would be made in agglomerated cork with a mineral oil finish, which is a 100% natural, elastic, resilient, waterproof and fireproof. Kids from 4 to 6 years old sometimes can’t keep their concentration, so a dynamic and evolving way of playing could be a solution. This way, the toy could go along the child’s development, so they don’t lose interest in it. Magnets amaze children because they want to know how the elements they are surrounded by react. Finally, Saturn5 is a participative toy that allows more than one player. | es_ES |
