dc.description.abstract [EN] The aim of this thesis is to implement a four-node membrane element that can represent the mechanical behavior of membrane materials when being subjected to large deformations. This is going to be made by means of a user de ned element (VUEL) in ABAQUS. Sometimes the wide range of options that ABAQUS o ers does not t the needs of the analysis that wants to be carried out. In these cases, ABAQUS gives the possibility to use one of its many user subroutines, so that the analysis can be adjusted to the special needs. User subroutines in ABAQUS are a powerful and exible tool that can be adapted to almost any simulation needs. [24] In the case of this thesis, both the constitutive model and the nite element formulation for a membrane element are going to be implemented. es_ES
