Hibridaciones en el net.art. Del hipermedia a la visualización de datos

Abstract

[EN] Study of net.art development, its typological hybridizations and the new forms of artistic practices that have appeared in the context of a 'network society', that has evolved with social, political, economic and cultural changes caused by the spreading of the network, the digital information, the technologies of communication, and especially, the changes produced by the huge quantity of information that users have to manage. From this context, already in the age of the Big Data, a new aesthetic paradigm emerges, a new culture of “visual things” based on the transformation and the visualization of information. This has represented the most significant change in several decades of net.art and with it, the leap in net.art practice, from the art of network, from the Hypermedia towards, nowadays, Data Visualization. The project also includes the implementation of a mapping on net.art, and its typologies, various infographics to visualize data and the creation of a website.

[ES] Estudio de la evolución del net.art, sus hibridaciones tipológicas y las nuevas formas de prácticas artísticas que se han dado en el contexto de una ‘sociedad red’, que ha evolucionado con cambios sociales, políticos, económicos y culturales causados por la propagación de la red, la información digital, las tecnologías de comunicación, y sobre todo, los cambios producidos por la inmensa cantidad de datos que los usuarios tienen que gestionar. De este panorama, entrados ya en la era del Big Data, surge un nuevo paradigma estético, una nueva cultura de lo visual basada en la transformación y la visualización de datos. Lo que ha representado el cambio más significativo en varias décadas de net.art y con ello el salto en la praxis del net.art, del arte de red, desde el hipermedia hasta, actualmente, la visualización de datos. El proyecto se completa con un trabajo aplicado, con la realización de un mapeo sobre el net.art y sus tipologías, así como varias infografías para visualizar los datos y la creación de un website en red
