Datos para la historia del antiguo colegio de San Sebastián y San Francisco de Borja de la Compañía de Jesús: el inventario de iglesia y sacristía de 1777

Abstract

[EN] The ancient jesuit college of San Sebastian and San Francisco de Borja in Gandia presents an extensive constructive process from the middle of the 16th century. The article tries to improve the knowledge of its different historical phases contributing with unpublished documentation including the inventory of church and sacristy redacted in 1777. The text also talks about the ancient plan published in 1955 by the jesuit Guillermo Furlong analyzing the differences between the design and the plan that was finally assumed.

[ES] El antiguo colegio jesuita de San Sebastián y San Francisco de Borja de Gandía presenta un dilatado proceso constructivo iniciado a mediados del s. XVI. El artículo intenta profundizar en sus diferentes fases históricas con la aportación de documentación inédita que incluye el inventario de iglesia y sacristía redactado en 1777. El texto analiza también el antiguo plano publicado en 1955 por el jesuita Guillermo Furlong analizando las diferencias entre la planta de la iglesia reflejada en los diseños y el plan finalmente adoptado.
