Copiar, imitar, transcribir : la plataforma en la arquitectura nórdica

Abstract

Trascripción es la acción de transcribir, reescribir, traducir, imitar, versionar, interpretar. A partir de este concepto este trabajo propone una reflexión sobre el concepto de transcripción en arquitectura y pretende analizar el proceso de reelaboración de las formas, definiendo este procedimiento en tres fases típicas: copiar, imitar y transcribir. La transcripción en arquitectura es un proceso que se desarrolla después de unas fases previas de copia e imitación de lo existente, principalmente en las primeras fases de la formación del arquitecto. En estas fases son fundamentales las influencias que el arquitecto recibe a lo largo de su vida y que perjudicarán inevitablemente su manera de proyectar. El entorno y sus orígenes, los maestros y los viajes son los tres aspectos que más influyen en su trabajo. Para definir y comprobar este proceso de transcripción se irán analizando algunas obras en las cuales se ha utilizado el elemento plataforma y se utilizarán estas informaciones como base para el análisis de los tres casos estudios elegidos: la Opera House de Sídney de Jorn Utzon, el Pabellón de Bruselas de Sverre Fehn y el Ayuntamiento de Säynätsalo de Alvar Aalto. Este análisis nos permitirá además definir la visión de la plataforma por los arquitectos nórdicos, y constatar si existe una visión única y similar de los tres arquitectos modernos sobre este mismo elemento o si cada uno tiene efectivamente su manera de transcribir.

Transcription is transcribe action, rewrite, translate, imitate, versioning. Strating from this concept, this work is a reflection on the concept of transcription in architecture and it aims to analyze the process of reworking of forms, defining this procedure in three typical phases: copy, imitate and transcribe. Architecture transcription is a process that develops after a previous phases of copying and imitation of what exists, especially in the early stages of architectural education. In these phases are critical the influences that the architects receives throughout their life and inevitably harm their way of projecting. The environment and their origins, the teachers and the travels are the three aspects that influence their work. To define and check this transcription process we will analyze some works in which is used the platform element and we will use this information as a basis for the analysis of the three selected case studies that were chosen: the Sydney Opera House of Jorn Utzon, the Pavilion in Brussels of Sverre Fehn and the Säynätsalo Town Hall of Alvar Aalto. This analysis also allows us to define the vision of the Nordic platform and see if there is a similar vision of the three modern architects on these same item or if each of them has his way of transcribing and to what extent.
