Deconstrucción del hogar: La familia y su biografía como material de creación

Abstract

[EN] Deconstruction of the home. The family and its biography as a building material arises from the need to explore the concept of the family from an autobiographical perspective. Understanding here the family as a place of identity, it is conceived as a space under construction, an infinite construction of history and memory, of which for a given time, we play a part. This temporary space is what I am interested in retrieving, and thus I propose to create a pause in which we can observe ourselves, a consciousness. Starting with the artistic production, the family territory is questioned with the purpose of distorting behaviors, attitudes, situations, and circumstances. We will see how our histories prove to be universal. Thus, the research is centered both on deconstructing the general image of the family through by mean of its photography, from the family album as support and the house as its surface, and in the deconstruction of the own family through the pieces generated. Through the family, its characters, and its circumstances one aspires to question some of the surrounding stereotypes.

[ES] Deconstrucción del hogar. La familia y su biografía como material de creación surge a partir de la necesidad de explorar el concepto de familia desde una perspectiva autobiográfica. Entendiendo aquí la familia como lugar de identidad, se concibe como espacio en construcción, una construcción infinita de historia y memoria de la que por un tiempo determinado formamos parte. Ese espacio temporal es el que me interesa recuperar y con ello propongo crear una parada en la que observarnos, una consciencia. A partir de la producción artística se cuestiona el territorio familiar con el propósito de desnaturalizar comportamientos, actitudes, situaciones y circunstancias. Veremos también cómo nuestras historias resultan ser universales. Así que la investigación se centra por un lado en deconstruir la imagen general de familia por medio de su fotografía, del álbum familiar como soporte y de la casa como su superficie y por otro, en la deconstrucción de la propia familia a partir de las piezas generadas. A través de la familia, de sus personajes y sus circunstancias se pretende cuestionar algunos de los estereotipos que la envuelven.
