Abstract

[EN] This project works around the concept of limit, the line dividing the external from the internal in the human being, paying special attention to the elements that connect one another…the symbolism of the door, the window, locks, trees…, the aim is to show both a visual game and a dialogue with the spectator, to open doors which allow us imagine and connect different worlds. Doors and windows nowhere and everywhere, the idea of the door as an object that stops and separates, under the appearance that hides the internal being, the essence; the door as the frontier that one crosses or transcends. Doors open houses to relate them to the world, they communicate the exterior and the interior as if they were bridges. The window as the border, where only a glance is permitted, no passage…and it serves as a means of illumination and ventilation; the window as the interior of the self, opened or closed to the world, seen from the inside or from the outside, or the lock as the protection of intimacy, or symbol of fear and insecurity. Trees like the essence of the self, life, trying to metaphorize printmaking between technique and concept, the language of the stamping techniques, going from one stage to the other. This project materializes through the production of a series of artworks achieved through different printing methods which aim to make visible all these concepts.

[ES] Se trata de un trabajo en torno al concepto límite, la línea que separa lo externo de lo interno en el ser humano, prestando especial atención a los elementos de conexión que los relacionan, como la simbología de la puerta, ventana, cerrojos, árboles, con el fin de mostrar un juego visual y a la vez un diálogo con el espectador, abrir puertas a imaginar y conectar varios mundos. Puertas y ventanas en ninguna parte y en todas, la idea de puerta como objeto que para y separa, bajo la apariencia que esconde el interior del ser, la esencia, la puerta como frontera por la que se pasa o traspasa. Ellas abren las casas para relacionarlas con el mundo, comunican el exterior y el interior como los puentes. La ventana como umbral donde solo es permitida la mirada, no el tránsito, y sirve para la iluminación y ventilación de la casa; la ventana como lugar interior del ser, abierta o cerrada al mundo, vista desde dentro y desde fuera, o el cerrojo como protección de la vida íntima, o símbolo de temor e inseguridad. Árboles como esencia del ser, de vida, tratando de metaforizar el Grabado entre la técnica y el concepto, el lenguaje de las técnicas de estampación, el paso de un estado a otro. El trabajo se materializa a través de la producción de una serie de obras realizadas con distintas técnicas de grabado que pretenden evidenciar todos estos conceptos.
