AGUAS DISTANTES QUE VAN Y VIENEN. AUSENCIA Y SOLEDAD. LIBRO DE ARTISTA

Abstract

[EN] Absence and solitude are very deep feelings that, despite being accompanied, we can feel, feelings that Juan Ramón Jiménez expresses in his poem “Solitude”. Using this poem as a common thread, this work aims to conclude with the production of an artist's book that shows these verses’ similarity to human behavior and, as well as the poem says "your waves, like my thougts, come and go, go and come, embracing then parting, in an eternal converging, sea, and diverging"1, people act in a similar way, each one lives in its own world, not arriving to know those who surround us, even so, when they are not with us, their absence produces solitude. In the research for experimentation with different materials and graphic resources, the artist's book is a suitable vehicle of expression because of its wide range of possibilities. It has been used collage and the direct technique of hand engraving’s "drypoint", stamping on Japanese paper sheets rolled on themselves, their different weights create transparencies and versatile overlapping view, giving it a sense of fun by allowing the viewer to manipulate and feel the work interacting in their unfolding. Content and container are important, so, as packaging we have made a linen bag stamped with the same motif. At the same time and as an accessory, design has been used for the decoration of a textile object, a Japanese panel.

[ES] El TFG consta de un libro de artista y como complemento, un panel japonés. Ausencia y soledad son sentimientos muy profundos, que pese a estar acompañados podemos sentir, sentimientos que expresa Juan Ramón Jiménez en su poema ¿Soledad¿. Utilizando como hilo conductor dicho poema, este trabajo pretende concluir con la elaboración de un libro de artista que muestre la similitud de estos versos con el comportamiento del ser humano y así como dice el poema, ¿tus olas van, como mis pensamientos, y vienen, van y vienen, besándose, apartándose, en un eterno conocerse, mar, y desconocerse¿¿, las personas actuamos de modo similar, cada cual vive en su mundo, no llegando a conocer a los que le rodean, aún así, cuando estos no están, su ausencia produce soledad. En la búsqueda de experimentación con diversos materiales y recursos gráficos, el libro de artista es un vehículo de expresión idóneo por su amplio abanico de posibilidades. Se ha utilizado el collage y la técnica directa de grabado calcográfico de ¿punta seca¿, estampando sobre hojas de papel japonés enrolladas sobre sí mismas, sus diferentes gramajes crean transparencias y superposiciones versátiles a la vista, otorgándole un sentido lúdico al permitir al espectador manipular y sentir la obra al interactuar en su despliegue. Contenido y contenedor son importantes, por lo que, como embalaje se ha realizado una bolsa de lino estampada con el mismo motivo. A su vez y como complemento, se utiliza el diseño para la decoración de un objeto textil, un panel japonés (panel para ventana, mide 150cm de ancho por 175 de alto)
