MIRAR

Abstract

[EN] The topic of the present paper is the look, this is a wide-ranging theme and in this academic work is addressed from four different perspectives: the viewer or spectator; the paradox between to look and to be seen; the look and the portrait; and a look towards the future. Each one of theses perspectives gives place to a series of artwork that include painting, drawing and sculpture. Those are gathered in the present project named Look. This project makes a reflection on the look and the contemplation; it shows the research realized to convert the chosen theme into works of art. The paper offers an analysis of some text that have helped as a conceptual impetus for this work. It also includes the analysis of some artists that have been an example because of their artwork.

[ES] El trabajo que se presenta tiene como tema la mirada, tema de gran amplitud que en este trabajo es abordado desde cuatro perspectivas distintas: El sujeto espectador; La paradoja entre mirar y ser visto; La mirada en el retrato, y Mirar hacia el futuro. Cada una de ellas da lugar a una serie de obras compuestas de pinturas, dibujos y esculturas, que recogemos en el proyecto denominado Mirar. En este trabajo se reflexiona sobre la mirada y la contemplación y se muestra la búsqueda realizada para poder convertir la temática elegida en obra plástica. Este proyecto se acompaña de un análisis de algunos textos que han servido como impulso conceptual, así como de los artistas que han servido de referentes plásticos.
