dc.description.abstract | [EN] In answer to the external forces that influence today’s markets, companies have implemented different approaches to provide flexibility, concerning several aspects. Despite the fact that industrial robots in manufacturing contain a large intrinsic flexibility, their programing and configuration for the adaptation to a new product is strongly laborious. The aim of this work is to increase utilization of the inherent flexibilities of industrial robots. In this thesis, a model for the evaluation of the flexibility of the manufacturing in modular robot cells is developed, based on the automated assembly planning by analysing CAD product data. The proposed method models the product requirements and system capabilities and automatically extracts the different assembly sequences, reconfigurable resources and valid material flows, i.e. the different solution spaces and flexibilities in modular production systems. This thesis is a part of a research project at the Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management, which introduces Cyber-Physical-Systems in Industrial Robotics (IR). These are considered a promising approach, capable to automatically analyse, plan, program and configure every robot cell. | es_ES |
