El objeto artístico en la era Post Internet

Abstract

[EN] “The art object in the Post-Internet period” is the title of the final project explained as the result of the theoretical and conceptual investigation formed by a series of multidisciplinary works. Starting with the hypothesis: internet and social networks directly affect contemporary art creation and the exhibition space. It has been studied the influence of social network on the exhibition space and the contemporary creation to conceptualize our practice. It explains and defends the controversial concept of “Post Internet”. Furthermore, how artists included in this new artistic vanguard have been defined. The materialized works range from paintings on methacrylate to the domestic readymade objects, creating different facilities. We work together in the PSS collaborative project. Both works made as the theoretical project will be presented to the public in different calls and viewings.

[ES] “El objeto artístico en la era Post-Internet” es el título que da nombre al Trabajo Final de Master que se expone como fruto de una investigación teórica y conceptual que está formado por una serie de trabajos multidisciplinares. Se parte de la hipótesis: Internet y las redes sociales afectan directamente a la creación artística contemporánea y al espacio expositivo. Como método se ha estudiado la influencia de la Web social sobre el espacio expositivo y la creación contemporánea para conceptualizar nuestra práctica artística. Se explica y defiende la controvertida etiqueta Post Internet y como se definen los artistas que se incluyen dentro de esta nueva vanguardia artística. Los trabajos materializados van desde pinturas sobre metacrilato hasta el readymade de objetos domésticos, generando diferentes instalaciones. Se trabaja conjuntamente en el proyecto colaborativo PSS. Tanto las obras realizadas como el proyecto teórico se expondrán al público en diferentes convocatorias y visionados.
