Couchsurfing como opción de alojamiento turístico

Abstract

[EN] The main goal of this work is to present a study about couchsurfing, a webpage that is a social network where people around the world keep in touch looking for and offering lodging. The idea was analyze the webpage, its operation and diffusion, the users' profile, who designed that project, for what and what was purpose of its creation. Its evolution since the beginning, how it is financed, and its mission. It was studied the repercussions that the tourist lodging had and it was compared with the different webs that offer this kind of service. It has been accomplished a study about the option of tourist lodging through the social network and web couchsurfing. The data were obtained from several surveys accomplished in the web and the main results are the utilization of this accommodation option among different kinds of tourists and that there is an increase at present.

[ES] El objetivo principal de este trabajo es realizar un estudio sobre couchsurfing “surfeando sofás”, una página web que a su vez es una red social dónde se ponen en contacto personas de todo el mundo buscando y ofreciendo alojamiento. Se analizará la página web, su funcionamiento, difusión, perfil de usuarios, quién diseño este proyecto, para que y la finalidad de su creación. Su evolución desde sus inicios, como se financia, y su misión. Se estudiará las repercusiones que tiene para el alojamiento turístico y se establece una comparativa entre las distintas webs que ofrecen este tipo de servicio. Se ha realizado un estudio sobre la opción de alojamiento turístico a través de la red social y web couchsurfing. Se han obtenido datos de distintas encuestas realizadas en la web y los principales resultados obtenidos son la utilización de dicha opción de alojamiento entre distintos tipos de turistas y su incremento en la actualidad.
