La revolución del objeto: investigación práctica sobre la relación experiencia y escultura

Abstract

[EN] This work emerges from the need for understanding talking about culture and contemporary world. Using sculpture and the world where it is inserted as a mean of reflection. Our aim is to induce the reflection and reach understanding through the artwork’s realization process, which is normally named asessay. In this practical context, talking about contemporary sculpture, subjects that accompany underpin and back feed the practice arise. So the work is in continuous transformation and evolution but keeping a general aim, to question the sense of the art manifestation and it’s concluded nature at the present time. Rising from an ideological commitment the legitimacy and meaning of the materials employed (subsidiary materials in this case), the technical solutions, the location in the space and the interaction with onlookers, demystifying the use the action of visiting an art exhibition, where playing the game is proposed as the apprehension of reality with acts that probably will not last too long not due for their durability but for their tendency for transformation.

[ES] El presente trabajo surge de la necesidad de comprensión en cuanto a la cultura y el mundo contemporáneo. Utilizando como medio de reflexión la escultura y el mundo en el que esta se inserta. Nuestra intención es provocar la reflexión y lograr cierto entendimiento mediante el proceso de realización de obra física, a la que, por esta razón, habitualmente denominaremos ensayos. Es en este contexto práctico, en y acerca de la escultura contemporánea, donde surgen los temas teóricos que acompañan, cimentan y retroalimentan la práctica. El trabajo de este modo está en transformación y evolución continua, manteniendo un objetivo general, cuestionar el sentido de la manifestación artística en la actualidad y su carácter concluso. Planteando, desde un compromiso ideológico, la legitimidad y significación del material empleado (en nuestro caso materiales subsidiarios), las soluciones técnicas, la ubicación en el espacio y la interacción con el espectador, desacralizando el uso, la acción de visitar una muestra, sobre la que proponemos la práctica del juego como aprehensión de la realidad, con acciones que probablemente no duren en el tiempo, no por su durabilidad sino por su tendencia a la transformación.
