Alejandro Abad Escalambre. Su labor pedagógica

Abstract

[EN] The aim of this research is to examine the influence that a musical instrument teacher can have to a student from children. The reason why the study focused on the figure of Alejandro Abad Escalambre is simple: he has been a teacher for many years dedicated to teaching cello, most of these years he has been teaching students very young, and he has brought forward a large number of students who today dedicate themselves to the cello. Finally, another reason why the study focused in this figure is that he was a teacher who has never gone unnoticed by his students. His way to class and act with them has created a feeling of love or hate these students, without giving option to the indifference. There are many studies done on different types of relationships that can exist between teacher and student and the influence that this relationship may have on the student learning. But most of these studies are quantitative and they have been analyzing the behavior of teachers and students from other kind of studies, where the classrooms are large and accommodate a large number of students. In musical instrument lessons, the relationship between teacher and student is very different because there is a lot of time spent in the classroom talking and playing the teacher and the student alone. To carry out this research, the methodology to be followed through a qualitative ethnographic study based on interviews with Professor Abad and some of his students engaged today cello professionally , life history of the figure of Abad , biographical research and case studies of students , always from a participant observation .

[ES] L¿objectiu d¿aquest treball d¿investigació és aprofundir en la influència que un professor d¿una especialitat instrumental pot tindre en un alumne des de menut. La raó per la qual centrar l¿estudi en la figura d¿Alejandro Abad Escalambre és molt senzilla: ha sigut un professor amb molts anys dedicats a la docència del violoncel, la major part d¿aquests anys ha estat donant classes a alumnes de molt primerenca edat, i ha tret endavant un gran nombre d¿alumnes que avui en dia es dediquen professionalment al violoncel. Per últim, una altra raó per la qual centrar l¿estudi en dita figura, és que ha sigut un professor que mai ha passat desapercebut pels seus alumnes. La seua manera de donar classe i actuar amb ells ha creat un sentiment d¿estima o d¿odi en dits alumnes, sense donar opció a la indiferència. Hi ha molts estudis fets sobre els diferents tipus de relació que hi pot haver entre professor i alumne i la influència que pot tindre dita relació en l¿aprenentatge de l¿alumne. Però la major part d¿aquests estudis són de caràcter quantitatiu i s¿han fet analitzant el comportament de professors i alumnes d¿altres ensenyaments, on les aules són grans i acullen una gran quantitat d¿alumnes. A les ensenyances musicals, la relació entre professor i alumne és molt diferent perquè és molt el temps que es passa a classe tocant i conversant tant sols el professor i l¿alumne. Per a dur a terme aquesta investigació, la metodologia a seguir serà qualitativa a través d¿un estudi etnogràfic basat en entrevistes al professor Abad i alguns dels seus alumnes que es dediquen avui en dia professionalment al violoncel, història de vida de la figura d¿Abad, investigació biogràfica i estudi de casos d¿alumnes, sempre des d¿una observació participativa.
