ANÁLISIS DE LA IDONEIDAD DE LAS HERRAMIENTAS INFORMÁTICAS PARA LA DIRECCIÓN Y GESTIÓN DE PROYECTOS

Abstract

[ES] Actualmente, en el campo de la Dirección y Gestión de Proyectos se dispone de muchas guías de consulta en las que apoyarse a la hora de afrontar un nuevo proyecto, las cuales son respaldadas por organizaciones de reconocimiento internacional en dicho ámbito como pueden ser Project Management Institute (PMI), International Project Management Association (IPMA), Office of Government Commerce (OGC), entre otras. El objetivo de la tesina es poner en práctica los conocimientos teóricos impartidos en el Project Management Body of Knowledge, metodología elaborada por el PMI (considerada la mayor asociación para la gestión de proyectos del mundo) y cuya finalidad es recopilar, clasificar y transmitir los conocimientos adquiridos en la gestión y dirección de proyectos. Es por ello que se han extraído de dicha metodología aquellos parámetros que pueden controlarse en las distintas herramientas informáticas para la Dirección y Gestión de Proyectos, y ver si éstas sirven de ayuda o de soporte, y si abarcan la mayoría de parámetros a controlar ubicados en las áreas de conocimiento del PMBoK. El mercado dispone de innumerables programas dedicados a la gestión de proyectos, por lo que se tomará como base las herramientas manejadas en diversas asignaturas del Máster de Dirección y Gestión de Proyectos de la UPV, siendo finalmente la escogida Microsoft Project.

[EN] At present, in the matter of Project Management there are so many metodologies to consult, when it begins a new project, which are supported by organizations of international recognition such as Project Management Institute (PMI), International Project Management Association (IPMA), Office of Government Commerce (OGC), among other organizations. The target of the work is to put into practice theoretical knowledge given in Project Management Body of Knowledge, methodology prepared by PMI (considered the biggest association for the project management of the world) and whose purpose is to compile, to classify and to transmit the knowledge acquired in the project management. That is why that it has been extracted from the above mentioned methodology those parameters that can be controlled in diferent softwares for Project Management, to see if they serve as help or as support, and if they include most of parameters to be controlled located in areas of knowledge of the PMBoK. On the market, there are countless softwares dedicated to Project Management, therefore one will take of base software handled in diverse subjects of the Master s degree of Project Management of the UPV, being finally select Microsoft Project.
