SILERE. UNA EXPERIMENTACIÓN PLÁSTICA ACERCA DEL HIELO Y EL SILENCIO

Abstract

[EN] My personal experience engaging the silence of the Finish landscapes has articulated the whole project presented in this memory. A series of art pieces echoing different disciplines such as painting, sculpting and photography have come together to mold the concept of silence, built throughout the on -going allusion to ice, its transparencies, textures and forms. My aim is to develop a thorough investigation of materials to achieve the eff ects mentioned above thus creating an intimate piece of artwork and to demonstrate when doing so my capability of applying the knowledge acquired on my Fine Arts Degree. This project combines the previous research for references, both conceptual and artistic as well as it records the experimentation process in detail, focussing mainly in material matters bound to the artwork. The final result is a photographic series were silence comes to live through art pieces that put to test the limits between pa inting and sculpting

[ES] La experie ncia personal hacia el silencio vivida en los parajes fineses han articulado el proyecto expuesto en esta memoria, un conjunto de obras donde los ámbitos de la pintura, escultura y la fotografía se unen para dar forma al silencio mediante la alusión del hielo, guiada por sus tra nsparencias, texturas y formas. El ob jetivo del mismo fue desarrollar una investigación de diferentes materiales, donde el tema fuera una experiencia personal con la que poder aplicar los conocimientos adquiridos en el Grado de Bellas Artes. Este trabajo se compone de un estudio previo de referentes tanto conceptuales como plásticos, así como de un proceso de experimentación y observación de materiales imprescindibles para la producción artística. El resultado final es una serie fotográfica donde el silencio cobra forma a través de piezas que se debaten entre los límites de la pintura y la escultura
