"LIBER-TAS". Tratamiento y desarrollo de un libro de artista en serigrafía

Abstract

[EN] On this degree dissertation we are going to contemplate a practical aproach to the concept of the artists’ books through the technique known as serigraphy and by means of digital ones as well, such as the plotter printer. Our project consists of the creation of an object-book, with its resulting studies on what it has been, and what it is now, and how should we focus on properly to achieve an effective and consistent structure. On the one hand, we will deal in this text with the difficulties that took place in the correct treatment of the print to acquire an ideal serigraphic stamp, and how did we adress the dualism of the analogue versus the digital in a coherent and rational way. On the other hand, we will talk about the problems with the development of a topic so contemporary and controversial nowadays in our society such as it is the freedom, and how to outline a game in the reading system between the story, the architecture of the book, and the pictures that knock it into shape, which are quite photographic and figurative. In addition, there will be no lack of introspection towards the evolution of the project since the beginning of the idea until what it has become during these months due to the methodological process that we have followed in, and we will explain as well, what kind of processes they were and which of them we would modify in the future to improve on a later project.

[ES] En este trabajo planteamos un acercamiento práctico al concepto de libro de artista mediante técnicas serigráficas y otras de carácter digital, como ya sea la impresión en plóter. Nuestro proyecto consiste en la creación de un libro objeto, con sus, por supuesto, consecuentes estudios en torno a lo que ha sido y es y cómo debemos enfocarlo adecuadamente para que consiga ser una estructura efectiva y coherente. Por otro lado, trataremos también en el presente texto, los problemas acaecidos a raíz del tratamiento de positivos para una óptima impresión serigráfica, y cómo hemos abordado la dualidad de analógico y digital de una manera congruente y racional. También hablaremos de la problemática en torno al tratamiento de un tema de carácter tan contemporáneo y controvertido en nuestros días como es el tema de la libertad, y cómo plantear un juego en el sentido de la lectura entre la narración del texto, la arquitectura del libro y las imágenes que lo conforman, las cuales poseen cierto carácter fotográfico que también sería necesario destacar. Por otra parte, no faltará una introspección referente a la evolución del proyecto desde su idea primigenia hasta lo que ha sido el resultado final durante estos meses gracias a los procesos metodológicos que se han seguido, y también, explicar cuáles han sido e incluso cuáles modificaríamos en caso de poder hacerlo para un proyecto posterior.
