QUIEN PENA, RÍE. CRÓNICAS DEL PUEBLO GITANO / UN PROYECTO COLABORATIVO MULTIFORMATO

[EN] Who suffers, laughs. Ch ronicles of the gipsy community is a multi

format col laborative work that gives an insight into the life and memories of the gipsy people in El Cabanyal, one of the hard

hitest neighbourhoods by social exclusion, abandonment and precarious employment. The project has been drawn up in a publication, by means of an audio

visual interactive narration. In this project, several methodologies have been used, such as equipping the gipsy families with audio

visual tools. At the same time, we have carried out interviews and workshops that allowed us to rescue the his torical memory of an excluded community and to work out a common vision on the current outlook. In this master thesis, we collect the results of our work and go through the history of the gipsy community, as well as the outcome of El Cabanyal and artistic projects related to ours.

[ES] Quien pena, ríe. Crónicas del pueblo gitano, es un proyecto colaborativo multiformato que muestra la vida y la memoria del pueblo gitano en el barrio del Cabanyal, uno de los más afectados por la exclusión, el desamparo y la precariedad laboral. El proyecto se formaliza en una publicación, a través de una narración interactiva y audiovisual; contamos con diferentes metodologías dotando de herramientas gráficas y audiovisuales a familias gitanas, creando y activando un proceso de autorrepresentación como medio de sensibilización y visibilización. Al la par, fuimos realizando entrevistas y talleres que nos permitieron rescatar la memoria histórica de una comunidad excluida, así como hilar una visión común del panorama actual. Este trabajo final de máster, recogemos el proceso de este trabajo, recorremos la historia del pueblo gitano, así como el devenir del barrio del Cabanyal y proyectos artísticos afines a nuestra producción.
