LA OXIDACIÓN DE SOPORTES FÉRREOS EN ESCULTURA CONTEMPORÁNEA: ESTUDIO Y PROPUESTA DE INTERVENCIÓN DE LA OBRA "HOMENAJE A MANOLO GIL" DE J. OTEIZA (CAMPUS ESCULTÒRIC UPV)

Abstract

[EN] In the present Work End of Degree the technical and conservative study of the sculptural piece "Homenaje a Manolo Gil", of the sculptor Jorge Oteiza, located in the gardens of the Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), and belonging to the Fund Of Art and Heritage of the UPV (FAP). Through an exhaustive organoleptic examination, the various pathologies of the work were analyzed and an appropriate intervention procedure was designed, taking into ac count its pathologies and the urban atmosphere in which it is found. We also worked on a preventive conservation plan that establishes a periodic maintenance of both the sculptural piece and the surrounding area, since this will allow a better durabil ity in the time of the work once its intervention. For the correct preservation of the work, a series of guidelines are proposed, taking into account the respect to the aesthetic, historical, documentary and functional values of the object under study

[ES] En el presente Trabajo Fin de Grado se expone el estudio técnico y conservativo de la pieza escu ltórica “ Homenaje a Manolo Gil ” , del escultor Jorge Oteiza, ubicada en los jardines del Campus de la Universitat Politècnica de Valè ncia (UPV), y perteneciente al Fondo de Arte y Patrimonio de la UPV (FAP). Mediante un exhau stivo examen organoléptico , se analizaron las diversas patologías de las que consta la obra y se ha diseñado un procedimiento de intervención adecuado atendiendo a sus patologías y a la atmósfera urbana en la que se encuentra. Se trabajó también en un plan de conservación pr eventiva que establece un mantenimiento periódico , tanto de la pieza escultórica como del área circundante, ya que esto permitirá una mejor perdurabilidad en el tiempo de la obra una vez realizada su intervención . Para la correcta conservación de la obra , se proponen una serie pautas, teniendo en cuenta el respeto a los valores estéticos, históricos, documentales y funcionales de la pieza objeto de estudio
