Análisis y propuesta para la puesta en valor del sistema defensivo del siglo XVI. Las torres vigía de la costa alicantina

Este Trabajo Final de Máster realiza un análisis y una propuesta de puesta en valor del sistema defensivo del siglo XVI, consistente en una red de torres de vigilancia y alerta que, durante siglos, cumplía la misión de defender a la población de los ataques de piratas y corsarios en una época de gran inseguridad en todo el Mediterráneo. Este trabajo centra su estudio en la provincia de Alicante. La primera parte del trabajo realiza un análisis en torno a tres valores fundamentales de las torres vigía: su historia, su arquitectura y su funcionalidad. La segunda parte establece una propuesta para su puesta en valor como producto de turismo cultural con el objetivo de dotarlas de un reconocimiento social y garantizar a la sociedad su acceso físico e intelectual.

This Master Thesis, with the title “Analysis and proposal for the Enhancement of the Defensive System in the XVI century. The watchtowers of the Alicante coast” performs an analysis and Enhancement proposal of the defensive system in the XVI century, consisting in a watchtowers network, which during centuries had the mission of defending the population from the pirates and corsairs in an age of great unsafety in the whole Mediterranean. This thesis focuses in the Alicante province. The first part of this thesis performs an analysis focusing in the three fundamental values of the watchtowers: history, architecture and functionality. The second part stablishes a proposal for the Enhancement as a product for the cultural tourism, with the objective of granting them with a social renown and warrantee its physical and intellectual access to the society.
