dc.description.abstract | --Title: Comparison and benchmarking of IoT open platforms --Description (details to allow the applicants understand the fundamental idea of the project and the expected results/outcome of the project): Within the IoT team of ITACA-SABIEN group, students will have as main objective to compare the most relevant IoT open platforms in the market (universAAL, FiWARE, OpenIoT¿). Candidates¿s tasks will be focused on preparing a SoA of the most relevant IoT open platforms based on the criteria defined by the supervisor, and make a benchmarking addressed by guidelines previously prepared. Finally the student will write a document where explaining conclusions. --Keywords: Internet of Things, Performance, Benchmarking, Sensors, Open platforms, Web Services, OSGi. --Requirements (the required skills/knowledge from the applicants): * Java EE * Restful web services * OSGi * Optional - Android - HTTPS - XML --application area (choose from: phone apps, computer software, multimedia, optical, wireless, antenna, network, hardware): * Telecommunications or Computer Engineering * English --Project Type: (Research or implementation): Research and implementation --Project Nature: (software or hardware or software and hardware or simulation): Software and simulation --Target students (choose one or more: Telecom programme, ecommerce programme, Internet of Things programme): -- more options might get more applicants. Internet of Things and Telecom programme -- Four Main tasks (has to be four): 1. Preparation of a SoA and comparison of the most relevant IoT open platforms following PRISMA methodology for systematic reviews. 2. Definition of tests for doing benchmarking with the selected open platforms. 3. Preparation and performing of the benchmarking. 4. Write the final report with conclusions. ----Expected output for exams (has to be four and the last one has to be submitting a conference paper): 1. Comparative table with IoT open platforms. 2. List of criteria for doing benchmarking. 3. Development of a test app for performing the benchmarking. 4. Submit a conference paper with the results. | es_ES |
