Video ensayo Aire (Nostalgia) Investigación sobre José Val del Omar

Abstract

Audiovisual project which emerges from the interest for one of the most representa ve inventors and lmmakers of Spain since all the mes, José Val del Omar. Thanks to his audiovisual artwork, ¿Tríp co Elemental de España¿ I decided to create this experimental short movie with the inten on to be the one that will be the fourth part in this series of already created three, to change the meaning of the ¿Tríp co¿ into a ¿Cuadríp co¿. Also using he¿s genre of ¿Elementales¿ as his inven ons and technics. This fourth short mo- vie is based by the inspira on in one speci c element, which is Air, as Val del Omar gave the protagonism to re, water and ground in the di erent parts of ¿Tríp co Elemental de España¿. The video has been shooted in Cas lla La-Mancha, as Val del Omar re- corded ¿Aguaespejo Granadino¿ in his own birth place, Granada. I made the short movie in this land because is from where I come from and i want to know it be er. Apart from having the work of Val del Omar as a reference, and try to create this project inspired by his way of working and put in prac- ce some of his cinematographic inven ons, I will try to give to this project a point of view that born inside Cas lla La-Mancha. I will add to the video the technic of the collage, the one which I normally use in the rest of my audiovisual works, including it both in the image and also in sound. Joining all these things will emerge a di erent audiovisual proyect from the ones Val del Omar did, but inspired on his cinematographic ways. The written part talk¿s about the referring that I used also related with Val del Omar, besides, I analysed and observe his general work, and explaining the process of shoo ng and experimenta on to create the audiovisual proyect.

Proyecto audiovisual que surge del interés suscitado por uno de los inventores y cineastas mas representa vos de España, José Val del Omar. Gracias a su obra ¿Tríp co Elemental de España¿ me hace crear este corto experimental a modo de cuarto video dentro de esta serie de tres convir en- do el tríp co en un cuadríp co. U lizando su género de los ¿Elementales¿1; así como sus inventos y técnicas. Este cuarto cortometraje se basa en la ins- piración de los elementos; mas concretamente, en el aire, así como VdO da protagonismo al fuego, agua y erra en los lms componentes de ¿Tríp co Elemental de España¿. El video se desarrolla en Cas lla La-Mancha, así como VdO desarrolló ¿Aguaespejo Granadino¿ en Granada, yo lo haré en esta por ser a la que per- tenezco y quiero analizar. Además de tomar el trabajo de VdO como referen- te, e intentar crear esta obra basándome en su manera de trabajar y poner en prác ca sus invenciones cinematográ cas, trataré de darle punto de vista que nazca de la erra castellano manchega. Añadiré al proyecto la técnica del collage, ya que la he u lizado cons- tantemente en mis demás creaciones audiovisuales, incorporándolo como bien indica la palabra anterior, tanto en la imagen como en el audio. Uniendo todo se crea este audiovisual experimental diferente aunque basado en la experiencia cinematográ ca de VdO. La parte escrita habla sobre referentes relacionados con VdO, examino y observo su obra, ¿Tríp co Elemental de España¿ y explico el proceso de grabación y experimentación para realización del proyecto audiovisual.
